Welcome to our page!
We are The Denbigh House. We are an innovative vocational rehabilitation program for
individuals with brain injury. We strive
to empower survivors of brain injury to regain independence through innovative,
outcomes - based services.
The Denbigh House, operated by the nonprofit organization, Community Futures Foundation, is an innovative vocational rehabilitation program for individuals with brain injury who live on the Virginia Peninsula. The program seeks to help survivors of brain injury achieve greater levels of independence and productivity.
Clubhouse programs emphasize the power and
value of meaningful work. At the Clubhouse, staff and program participants,
called “members”, work side by side to run all aspects of the program, from
cleaning the bathroom to hiring new staff. Through the process of the work
ordered day, members regain work skills and behaviors and develop skills to live more independently. Clubhouses also offer individuals a
place to belong, a social network, and an opportunity to break the social
isolation following a brain injury.
